The Studio — Avigail Reiner

During my internship at The Studio, under the guidance of Avigail Reiner, I was involved in the design of the studio’s official website. We worked to translate the studio’s rich heritage in print and book design into a functional digital landscape, creating a site that allows the work to take center stage.

Identity: Original vs. Copy

This project explores the friction between personal identity and bureaucratic systems. By distorting official forms into “corrupted copies” and integrating Bartleby the Scrivener’s mantra of refusal, the work visualizes the resistance against being reduced to a number. A complementary digital interface attempts to map the self through data, ultimately proving that true identity is far too complex to be quantified.

This typographic guide serves as a comprehensive archive of analog film stocks, categorizing them by technical parameters such as grain, format, and manufacturer. Featuring curated works by talented Israeli photographers, the guide’s layout draws inspiration from darkroom documentation and technical markings, turning raw data into a visual exploration of analog culture.
